See Ice Cube, Common, Roots Team for 'Real People' on 'Fallon'

Ice Cube followed up his Rock Hall induction with N.W.A and subsequent feud with Kiss' Gene Simmons by appearing on The Tonight Show alongside his Barbershop: The Next Cut co-star Common to perform "Real People" off the film's soundtrack. The Roots also joined in on the performance for the track that preaches togetherness, community and an end to violence.

After Cube's first verse lyric, "Me and that homie, yeah we used to bring the funk / Now we got love and respect like a monk," Cube and Common shook hands on the Tonight Show stage. The line is a reference to a two-decades-old beef between the two rappers stemming from Common's legendary 1994 single "I Used to Love H.E.R.," which criticized West Coast gangsta rap at the time. Ice Cube fired back at the Chicago rapper with "Westside Slaughterhouse," and Common retaliated with "The Bitch in You." However, as "Real People" proves, time heals all feuds.

Common, who will also appear in the DC villains blockbuster Suicide Squad, also showed Jimmy Fallon his break dance moves during the Tonight Show visit.
