Blake Shelton Plots 2016 Fall Tour

Summer is still a couple of months away, but Blake Shelton has already added more than a dozen fall tour dates to his 2016 schedule. The "Came Here to Forget" singer will pull double duty in three of the cities on the just-announced trek, which kicks off with a two-night stint in Oklahoma City September 9th and 10th.

Tickets for the Oklahoma City, Peoria, Sioux Falls and Hartford shows go on sale April 22nd. Ticket prices include one copy of the new album per transaction. Several VIP packages are also available, with perks including a special acoustic performance and Q&A session, a premium reserved ticket in the first five rows, an autographed guitar, special venue parking and more. Other on-sale dates will be announced soon.

Throughout the tour, expect Shelton to unveil more material from his upcoming album If I'm Honest, which is set for release May 20th. The LP's lead single "Came Here to Forget" was the Oklahoman's fourth chart-topper (and third Number One debut) on country's Digital Songs chart, following the Number One hit "Gonna," from 2014's Bringing Back the Sunshine. Since his 2001 debut, the "Austin" singer (and coach on NBC's long-running competition, The Voice) has notched 21 chart-topping hits. Earlier this year, Shelton revealed that he had recruited the Oak Ridge Boys to sing on a track for the soon-to-be-released album.

Also on tap, Shelton has contributed a tune called "Friends" to the soundtrack of The Angry Birds Movie, opening May 2nd. Then, on May 27th the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum unveils the "Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story" exhibit, which chronicles his career as one of the most successful country artists of the past two decades.
