Hard-rock legends Deep Purple will join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2016 class this Friday, April 8th at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center, although two current band members – guitarist Steve Morse and keyboardist Don Airey – will not be among the inductees honored at the ceremony. But there's been a lot of band turnover over the years. Drummer Ian Paice is the only member of the group to endure through every lineup and original singer Rod Evans hasn't been seen in public in over 30 years. Watch the video above to pick up on a few new tidbits, including how they had a hit in 1967 with a cover of Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman" and who from the band fronted Black Sabbath for a single album in 1983.
