5 Things You Didn't Know About Chicago

For over a quarter of a century, Chicago has produced 20 Top 10 hits and 15 platinum or multiplatinum albums and sold more than 100 million records and is second only to the Beach Boys in Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands. The original band membership consisted of saxophonist Walter Parazaider, guitarist Terry Kath, drummer Danny Seraphine, trombonist James Pankow, trumpet player Lee Loughnane, and keyboardist/singer Robert Lamm, and they later added tenor and bassist Peter Cetera, who became the lead singer until he left in 1985 to begin his solo career. The band has been eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ever since their debut album, The Chicago Transit Authority, celebrated its 25th birthday in 1994, but they'll finally be inducted during the April 8th ceremony this year. Watch the video above to learn more details about the band.
