Thom Yorke, Patti Smith, Flea Unite for Climate Change Concert

Thom Yorke, Patti Smith, Flea, Dhani Harrison and more will perform at Paris' Le Trianon theater on December 4th as part of Pathway to Paris, a concert designed to raise awareness about the urgency of climate action. The event will coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference, which takes place between November 30th and December 11th in Paris. 

Pathway to Paris was co-founded by musician-activists Jesse Paris Smith and Rebecca Foon, both of whom will appear at the concert alongside featured speakers Bill McKibben, Naomi Klein and Vandana Shiva. Tickets will go on sale in September, with all proceeds benefitting global climate movement 350.org.

The first Pathway to Paris took place at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge in September 2014 – following the People's Climate March – and featured Thurston Moore and Patti Smith group guitarist Lenny Kaye, among other musicians and speakers. 

Earlier this year, Yorke created some minimalist soundscapes for tax avoidance documentary UK Gold. The Radiohead frontman contributed four solo instrumentals and teamed with bandmate Jonny Greenwood for two others, "Tap24 + Hiha24" and "Pin Loon Break Up." Last September, Yorke surprise-released his second solo album, Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, through BitTorrent; three months later, he released the track "You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry" via a pay-what-you-want download. 

In June, Greenwood told Dutch music site 3voor12 that Radiohead are currently working on their follow-up to 2011's The King of Limbs. "We didn't do anything together for too long, so restarting took a lot of time," he said. "We're working in periods now."
