Derek Hough Tapped for 'Nashville' Role

Derek Hough, whose dance moves have led him to a record-setting five wins on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, is making the move to an acting role on the network's musical drama Nashville.

According to People , Hough will appear in multiple episodes of the show's upcoming third season, playing Noah West, a 20-something movie star who crosses paths with the Nashville characters after he's cast as the lead in a biopic of a famed country singer. In a statement, ABC says the role requires Hough to play a "beguiling and disarming" guy.
